Final Select Purgatory

Checking in, got selected SNA a couple weeks ago. OR thinks I won't be able to ship till August due to OCS trying to clear out some of the backfilled pipelines like SWO and stuff. Given that other people on here are getting July 22 I'm hoping he's wrong but we shall see!
I was told the same thing. Mine said they are filling the numbers for other communities before the majority of SNA applicants go. Nothing to do but wait some more.

Well I'm taking 30 days of leave starting tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a final select soon and make my vacation a little sweeter. I'm going down to the Fly Navy building in Key West so that'd be a pretty cool place to get my Final Select.

Weird question, what's the most time off someone on active duty can get.

Checking in - submitting my Avail date tomorrow from my Command. Officially getting the ball rolling!
Sent my avail last week same day as BOL results posted I see Anthony said his OR is looking towards August but i was under the impression its really backed up and we could be waiting till Mar. I hope im not here in limbo till march.

That depends on what your command allows. You accrue 30 days a year (2.5 per month) and can carry up to 60.0 into a new fiscal year, but the manual encourages you to take them all, usually not at one time though. You get more leave for other circumstances and you can take them together. I'm actually taking 4 days of paternity leave in conjunction with annual leave because the Marine Corps just updated the paternity leave policy from 10 to 14. So I'm mixing the types.

if you hear anything let us know i have no clue when to plan on classing up

My OR said Aug-Nov was available, didn't mention why/how, but someone here also said they are trying to get SWOs cleared up faster so sooner OCS dates were available. However, I need to go back to MEPS and get my fingerprints done again so I can't even get a final select at this moment until after I do my fingerprints next week. I'm hoping for October.

Appreciate you getting back to me. Have a great vacation.

Checking in! I was selected for NFO on the 23 May board but was waiting the results of the 12 Jun Intel board. Originally heard I'd be going the 22nd if this month but not sure if that's still a possibility or not.
