Maybe we should have another thread for this, but this is from 32 years ago. I just found these as I was rummaging through some old Navy documents. I thought these were kind of funny. If you can't laugh at yourself, well...1985-86.

Youngster! :) This is me straight from Great Lakes heading for AOA school at JAX, 1964.
The start of the biggest adventure of my life. Climbed all over A4's and served with some great people, one of them was BzB.

Nice!

What F-14 squadrons were you in?

My first command was VF-31 circa 1988.

Love the old photos everyone.?

F-14's? Crusaders and Phantoms were the fighters of my day (F-8's and F-4's). I was in CAW 4 and worked on A-4 Skyhawks (VA-44). I stayed in 44 my whole tour, they wouldn't let some of us transfer. Oh we did all sorts of stuff TAD, but our home was VA-44 (the east coast A-4 RAG), Cecil Field. NAM was heating up and A-4 pilots and ground crews were needed, so there we stayed to train. We even trained the different Israeli squadrons when they acquired Skyhawks. We were on the go constantly, quals or in Yuma for bombing practice. Loved Yuma! We'd go to San Luis after work, and we didn't go there for bible study. :)
