I was fortunate enough to meet Heffron and Guarnere randomly in Philly a few years ago. Two great guys. Rest easy Babe, you'll be missed.

While the entire series is one of the best series ever made (I'd say even better than From the Earth to the Moon), I still say Episode 7 ("The Breaking Point") is the most impressive and emotional of the series. To me, it pretty much sums up the entire experience and is one hell of an amazing leadership primer. I've watched it with someone who hasn't served in the military (my wife) and a lot of it went over her head, but even if you've only deployed once, you can really relate to the brotherhood (and sisterhood) of service. Only their experience is about 1,000 times more impressive than anything I've done.

Here's hoping it stays that way. We don't want another "CACTUS Air Force" experience…

So riddle me this, Batman: Why has no one ever made a movie about CACTUS? It's simply the US version of the Battle of Britain, without the pub bashing at the end of the day.
