Recent completed MEPS and found out that I was color deficient. Failed the initial color test and the secondary color test (given to those who didn't pass the first color test).
I informed my OR and asked if this was DQ me from the NFO designator even though I knew in the back of my head that it probably would be. He confirmed.
I then asked if there were any other designators that were open to colorblind applicants. He replied saying that normal color vision is required to become an officer. He apologized and said good luck.
Though this news is very discouraging, I was wondering if I could get a second opinion. Are there any other designators that don't require normal color vision?
