Wow, this would be interesting to see what happens when you make the board and show up for "training" at OCS! :)

If you are selected, your travel will be something like $0.50? Of course, the big question would be: should you get your jabbs in beforehand with the DIs, because you know you're going to be singled out anyway :icon_tong

I think you should start walking by and make random comments to no one in particular about the Corps and their mothers. That should stir the pot pretty well. :tongue2_1

    Well that..

was fun! I can only hope today brings the relief we have all been waiting for!! I hate to spend another weekend pacing the floor over this. I would just really like to know if the JULY board ever met, shouldn't be that hard of a question!

Billthrill1, Hope you aren't waking up with too bad a hang-over.
Aircrew Instruc, Hope this timing thing doesn't mess up your chances.

    To everyone good luck!!:icon_tong

Bluenose, you actually think we're going to hear today? I highly doubt it (don't get me wrong, I would love to be surprised with a call). I'm thinking we will have heard the results by mid-nextweek.

I too am hoping to be a 3rd generation naval aviator. Do you think it helps to have that as part of your credentials? Having family history has to help. Right?

When I initially asked my recruiter when the results would come in, he said it could be around 6 weeks. What's the deal with that!? Is the 6 weeks for those waiting on a "no" letter. From what it sounds like, we should hear back really soon?

    Any comments appreciated.

It sounds like he was planning on having your packet sent in for the August Board to review. that just happened/is happening (depending on who you ask... it was either thursday or today). My recruiter told me that he should receive his results early next week if there are no snags. either way, you will probably know whats going on a week from now.
