FTR, I like the hfrog84 ones best, the top of the wings need to be more parallel to the deck than anhedral...
If it is decided to let you all have your lead wings the mods will add them to your block.....unless they are not approved.....
DTW, if you are around, any chance you can resize, shadow and spiff up the AF pilot wings also? Just like you did the Army wings?
This is nothing more than a shameless test post to see if my wings had been added to my call sign. I leave the moderator who promised that they would be added nameless for the time being. I'll swing around and give him credit if they show up.
Hey all, the juice is good, eh!? I'm essentially just writing a reply to see if Army wings appear under my name, and if not, how do I get em! You guys make me laugh on a daily basis, btw. Cliff
Whoa! The power of the force is strong, webmaster! You made my day. Now.....off to the Nighttrain for the weekend!
If we really want to make it representative, we'd make on wing lower than the other too in order to represent lead-lag and upwind-downwind blade, etc...
Now why on earth would you think I wear those middie. I wear brown shoes just like everyone else who supports the aviation community but who dosen't fly....
Contrary to popular belief, that's not a warfare insignia. It always bugged me to see those (and occasionally wear them) on soft patches in flight school. I think the uniform regs allow it, but it just looks strange. Enlisted don't wear a crow on their name tags....
Yeah thats what I have on my soft patches i have on the flight jacket. My community dosen't has a warfare pin anyway, so thats the best I could do unless a miracle happens and i can get observers wings somehow.
Or you could just not put anything on your soft patch, which is what I did until the Nazi-like HT-8 flair police found me.
You and your "facts." I remember that it used to say that you can't, but thought it changed at some point. Anywho, thanks for the backup. The fact that it's not, technically, legal made it even more strange to me that it was/is the way of things at the school house.
You are correct we didn't wear a crow. We would have our rating insignia on our soft patches until winged.
