Just scheduled my physical for later this week. Hopefully all that clears fast so I can get my FS letter. How is everyone else doing?
Actually had my physical back in March so I'm good to go on that end. Waiting to see if I need a waiver on something or if I'll be PQ out the gate. Hopefully so.
Results are posted on the recruiting quarter deck... Every recruiter has access to them... So if your recruiter doesn't know where to look, tell them to ask their supervisor. They have been there for about a week.
PRO-REC'ers, Has anyone heard anything about the tentative date on when the FS letter will be send out? I'm active duty and had to do all my medical testing prior to submitting my package so if anyone is in the same situation as me, lets discuss this. Good luck everyone!
Same boat here, but no news yet on a final select letter. I think BUPERS says that our commands will be notified via email when a final select comes down. I'd like some solid gouge from someone on here if we can get it though. Found out the hard way a while ago that "just be patient and wait" doesn't always end up how it should in the military.
Got a TNPQ letter today because I popped 140/90 at MEPS for blood pressure and a prior back surgery. Have to go visit a doc twice a day for three days to check BP and go back to MEPS for an orthopedic consult on my back. Shouldn't be any issue on my back since I did sports all four years in high school after the surgery and did the Corps at A&M without any issues.
Greetings, So this morning I get an email from NRC saying that I have to provide urinalysis for protein and sugar and a new DD2807-1 thats not older than 90 days. Being AD, I did all my medical physicals in December of 2011 and no where does it say anything about a protein and sugar urinalysis. Has anyone heard this before and how serious is this stuff? Obviously, being in the middle of the ocean on deployment right now does help the situation but I hope things aren't bad. Oh, I was PRO-REC'd for SWO on May 3rd.
They do this periodically with my applicants...no rhyme or reason... The outdated 2807 is normal. If nothing has changed, just print it out again, and have a doc sign it...
Got a call this morning that I didn't get the full pilot eye exam when I got my physical. Hopefully I'll be headed to P'Cola in the morning to get it knocked out and this won't be a delay.
I know that in the application on the CO's recommendation it says to put the date that the member is available for transfer. I'd imagine that'd be the only thing holding you up on the command side of things.
I don't see anything about transfer date on the CO statements but I do see that my PRD is written on the front of the application. My DIVO is telling me that the command would like to keep me until February. I am on shore duty so who wouldn't like to get extended? Only thing is that I would like to start this next step in my life ASAP! Either way I will be happy but I just wanted to know if my command can have any input or is it stricktly by the needs of OCS.
Same. Went to MEPS back in January I think it was and security clearance has been submitted for a while now so just waiting for the next step I guess. I'm beyond anxious now for word on FS and OCS Date. Not quite as anxious as waiting for a pro-rec but its close.
I feel exactly the same way. I'm a kind of person that likes to know all the answers, and when things are out of my control it becomes very frustrating. I guess I should start learning how to deal with these situations, because there's a strong possibility of more to come.
My thoughts exactly. How long will you have to wait on MEPS results? And besides MEPS, the security stuff, and a swear in process what else is there really?
I wasn't required to go to MEPS. My recruiting district is Chicago. Instead, my OR took me up the street to the on-base medical facilities at NS Great Lakes. My recruiter said that my medical results should be ready and in the computer system within the next 3-5 days. Also, from my understanding once your medical and security clearance is completed there is nothing else is needed for a final select letter.
On the 1420.1b, on the page with the CO's written recommendation (page 10 on mine), at the bottom it says that for OCS candidates, to include date available for transfer.
