Anyone remember Kack's Saloon near NAS P'Cola?

Question: Does anyone remember a hard-core biker bar named Kack's Saloon that was very close to the main gate of NAS Pensacola? I think it was on Barrancas. Is it still there? I tried to look it up, to no avail.
Back in late Nov. 1985, a pal of mine got into an altercation there. It cost him flight school and his commission in the Marine Corps.

I was in P'Cola in Nov 85. Is this the pissed off Marine that drove over the harleys outside in his jeep and drove to the main get getting chased on his flattened tires/rims (on one tire in any case).

If so, yes I remember that place.

Exactly. :thumbup_1 Like the Marine who got shitfaced with Jose Canseco the day after his winging at a bar in Miami. Cops found him afew hours later in his boxers running down the sidewalk while bleeding from the head.

Affirmative -that's the incident I was referring to. You have a great memory!
This fellow and I visited Kack's a week or two prior, without encountering any trouble or hostility. The place was almost empty, and no one seemed to pay us any mind.
Well, Thanksgiving weekend, I left town, and my drinking buddy, with nothing better to do, went back there. This time, the place had a large crowd of bikers in it.
He walked in, I'm sure, wearing his usual polo shirt, clean-shaven, regulation Marine haircut, etc., and immediately received some sort of verbal nastiness/insult from one of the bikers.
His reponse was "F__ you!", and he turned his back ( mistake ) to walk out of the joint..about that time, someone broke a beer bottle over his head from behind.
He turned around again, decided that the odds were not in his favor, walked out, climbed into his Jeep CJ-7, and plowed into the row of Harleys parked out front. He then reversed over the bikes again for good measure. His tires punctured, he made it across the bridge, rims sparking,
with angry bikers in pursuit. He was detained at the gate, while the bikers gathered on the bridge screaming death threats.
This 2nd Lt. became a sort of an instant legend on base, but unfortunately, the CO of MATSG did not have any empathy at all for him. The Colonel, said it was all his fault for being there, and gave him an ultimatum: Resign or get court-martialed. Very sad... I felt very bad for my friend, he was only a week or two away from starting AI (API), after waiting for months being pooled.

I remember Evelyn's Grunge Bar that was fairly close to the front gate back in the '70's.
When I got commissioned in '86, and the Navy sent us to Charm School, one of the first places we discovered was the Grunge. Evelyn adopted all of us Warrants and we loved her. Was thinking about that the other day and was saddened to read of her passing. I do recall she was in a running gun fight with the Base XO. He strongly disapproved of her establishment and she just as strongly didn't give a shit what he thought. Very entertaining...

It was Cacks Shack, the guy who owned it last name was Cack. It’s no longer there it’s now a strip Mall. I was stationed in Pensacola in 1982, I loved that bar. It was a really cool place for any Harley fan back then. Most of the people who hung out at the Bar were Prior Military, Active Military and People who were attached to the Military thru realatives or civil service. One of the nice things was there were no Motorcycle Gangs when I was hanging out there it was more like a Family of Harley Fans. We would have great runs or Weekend camp outs Etc. As far as the Marine who ran over the Bikes. That was after my time there? But sounds like too many movies and a Anger Management issue, with a little liquid courage to boot. Pensacola was one of my Favorite Duty Stations, and my time hanging out at Cacks made some great Memories. Now Evelyn’s Grunge Bar was another great place. Evelyn use to great Newbys with: Want tosee my Tits? , then she would reach behind the Bar and pull out this Gallon Glass Bottlethat had her Tits in it! She had her Tits removed because of Brest Cancer. Always Freaked out the guys! Great place good times.
