I'm finally back!
The last time you visited Hawaii?? They fly DC-9's there?? Hmmm.
<<< HAL = Hawaiian Airlines
I'm back as an active pilot at Hawaiian after being furloughed. Started ground school for the B-717 (it's a DC-9 on steroids with a glass cockpit).
Thats awesome, congratulations.
Glad to see things pick up for you.
Wow, thats quite the landing flare.........
Looks like a takeoff to me (big hint would be flaps, and of course pitch attitude). Unless of course this is e-sarcasm....
And of course, CONGRATS HAL!
Now you can go back to being a Mean 'ole Hao'le in training. :icon_smil
Dude, shut the hell up or I'm taking a cross country to Corpus to throw a shoe at you.
Hal, congrats man. Furghload sucks something fierce I know. Way to hang in there, hopefully mgmt will remember your sacrifice at contract time (yeah... right).
Congrats HAL.... is it going to be hard to leave Vegas?
That sounds like a long furlough...what did you do in the mean time?
Congrats. How long till some of us get some free rides?
What color of shoe? Brown or black?
WTF do you think?
Good to hear.
GOOD JOB, BRUDDAH!
5 years .... wow. That's one of those horrible "historic" furloughs we've heard about ... like in the ol' days.
They fly AOA langings.
Serious question for HAL Pilot: Did you actually think you would ever get picked back up after that long? My knowledge about the furlough process in the airlines is close to nil, so I have no idea.
You're not actually released from employment. You maintain your seniority number (provided you don't move somewhere else). You just don't go to work/get paid/etc.
Congrats, HAL! Don't pull up the rope behind you.
Do many/most people furloughed that long actually come back, or just move on? That's some serious patience.
Awesome that you are finally back.
Now how about jumpseating your ole buddy Huggy to Honolulu
