ACIP increase for all my (USMC) friends

Keep in mind when you grouse: Navy gets a "DH" bonus and a CRB. The MC hasn't had any kind of bonus in at least the last 10 years until this year, and it is a pittance comparatively: 2 yrs/20k for select MOSs. It is awarded at the same time, expiration of winging commitment. From where I'm sitting, the Navy still gets paid a lot more to fly.
I'm not sure what your point is. The MC has been fucking over its pilots for years, should that be a factor in us wanting parity with the Air Force? I don't think so. It is shameful that the MC hasn't been giving bonuses out at all. Complete bullshit. Yet the AF is able to pay their cargo guys 30 grand / year and now their drone guys can even get the full 35 grand / year. Blows my mind.

Fellas,

There are actually a good number of Skippers who tell the Flags that we are in trouble and need a course correction. Some of the Flags even get it. I think our problem legitimately is that our best sometimes lack conviction and our worst are full of passionate intensity (thanks W. B. Yeats). Our reaction time, whether due to staffing or legislative requirements, is atrocious and requires that we attempt to anticipate these issues and act on solutions. Kind of frustrating to see Big Navy enacting some of the proposals in Bus Snodgrass's article after the horses left the barn and have started putting Apps in for Delta.

Our business is not and never will be easy. It is certainly harder when we commit unforced errors... I'm guessing a courtesy post about Flight Pay from the Bureau would go a long way.

Not sure if this is a double post, but another good one.

I think this is such a powerful point:

“I believe, however, that Navy leaders consciously filter critical information. Every admiral to whom I’ve spoken has had an impressive career. But the common thread in all of their careers is that they never have lost or been exposed to the other side of the processes. For an overwhelming majority of them, the system has worked, so the processes must be good. While people have been trying to expose deficiencies to our leaders, the idea that something is broken is outside their reality. As a result, it is easy for them to filter the warnings based on their own personal experiences.“

Oh, good. You’re back.

Why would I leave when I can stick around for the chance to be your boss. ?
Back from what?

I guess if you’re no good at anything else, this is a reasonable job,

FYI—I am aware of you and have secured the necessary guarantees that you will NEVER be me boss. So no worries...

Back from the throttled back spanking you were whining about or did it take you 10 minutes to load the page for your post?

You are aware of me? You have secured the necessary guarantees? What are you, a Nigerian con-man? I’m hoping by that statement you mean you are done with the Navy. We all have our hopes and dreams.

Negative. I meant I know who you, personally, are. And I am, structurally, assured to never work for you, is that not explicit enough?

@pilot_man
Radical Douche found out you were in a “swingers” situation with one of your subordinates and his wife. He hired a guy named Ray who coerced your subordinate into filming it without your knowledge. And your subordinate is now using that tape to coerce you into not being Radical douche’s boss.
