My bet is it will be Ohio State. Even if they play nobody in the regular season, like usual. Freakin big ten school... Atleast Louisville is doing awesome in basketball. Go Cards!!!
I hope it is Ohio State. No offense to the OSU guys, but that game would be in the bag for us. I think it will be the Texas/OU winner. USC lost too much in personnel and they seem to lose a give-me every year regardless. I think Notre Dame has a good shot at even beating USC next season. Ohio State definitely has a chance to make it to the big game too. UF seems to have the best chance with returning their entire defense and being very deep at OLine and WR (where we lost senior OLinemen, and Percy Harvin and Louis Murphy). A fun thing to follow next year will be the Heisman race with Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford, and Tim Tebow returning. That will be a heck of a race and may go to the guy whose team has the best record, opposed to the QB with the best stats (like Harrel in'08). ____ Should be a great year, and I am closely following recruiting in the mean time, until national signing day that is.
Ohio State always has a chance, because they are in the Big 10. They win every game they have (which isn't hard for them and their schedule), except for the almost good teams like Penn State, which really isn't even that good, adn still go to the Nat. Championship game because they are "the" Ohio State. I think Texas could have possibly beat Florida, and Oklahoma should have. To be honest, I jumped on the Texas Tech bandwagon for a while. But that didn't last. Maybe if Louisville could get a coach like this: we could win some more games. Go Cards!!!
Yeah. Pretty much true. Texas would have been a great game too, but in all honesty I really believe that OU is the 2nd best team in the nation, at least at the end of the year. The thing about Texas, and I may get some flack for this, is that their DBs are very bad when it counts in the games I watched. That is an understatement. Their front-7 are good enough to take a lot of pressure off their CBs and safeties, but great OLines can negate that, and UF has one of the best OLines. Texas also doesn't have much of a rushing game outside McCoy, and that would be exposed against a very balanced team like UF. Don't get me wrong though, it would be a great game if that was how the chips landed for them. ___ Many others would have liked to see USC play UF in the NCG for '08. I can say (unlike OU or even Texas) that that would have been a beat down. USC was the most overrated team last season. Their defense was highly regarded by the sports media, but it was very mediocre in reality. They played ~7 teams whose offense was ranked worse than 100th, and that is where they picked up those hyped shutouts. Their offense was very suspect too. Not a play making team whatsoever. And if UF can hold the best offense in OU (some say the best offense ever) to 14 points (20 points if they kicked those 2 field goals in the red zone), we would crush USC's average offense. ...Also, to note, UF had one of the best special teams in the nation; it may have been the best if we had a better kickoff kicker, who was a true freshman.
Some rep goes to you for that one, because it is totally true. USC is always overrated, just like Ohio State, becuase of tradition. They always go to the Rose Bowl (or atleast 90% of the time) and win against a horrible team, or a Big Ten team. Pac Ten sucks too! Florida would have killed them. Florida will probably win the NC next year. Unless they get really unlucky or something. Any other day a powerhouse like Florida can lose. Like the Ole Miss-Florida game. Louisville is getting packed in the coaching staff, but I don't see us getting better until we get rid of Kragthorpe. I wish the best of luck to Florida though. Tim tebow is a great person and a great QB, but for some reason pro people don't like them. They never like QBs that can run. That strikes me as odd though. Louisville plays UConn today at 7, in college bball. I can't wait. Go Cards!!!
