Noticed there are a lot of SWO's in the class. Could you guys tell me what board you got selected from? I was selected on the April board for SWO but am still waiting on a letter and class date; trying to get an estimate on how long I am looking at here.
Thanks. Some others that got picked up in April already have their dates as well, but some SWO selectees have been waiting for a year or two, so who knows how long I will be waiting. You would think with me being active duty, I would go sooner rather than later, but who knows.
It's definintely not that. I'm on shore duty and was supposed to transfer last month. I am just waiting around here now until I leave for OCS. I have turned over all of my duties and am seriously just waiting around trying to stay actively employed. My CO stated on my package that I am available for immediate transfer to OCS as well. Who knows.
I got pro-recced snfo on the January board (notified 3 Feb) and didn't hear anything about an ocs class date until mid june. Sometimes I feel like whoever makes all of the decisions is just sitting in an office somewhere with all of our names stuck on a dartboard...

I was selected in the April board. I initially received my class date as September 19th in my letter but when my actual orders popped I was put in the August class date. I know that operational commitments DO NOT at all play into this. My squadron is getting ready to go on an emergency deployment on the Stennis in late August and they shipped me off in the midst of everything. I'm going with sparrowbomb's dartboard theory. I was also given my orders less than three weeks for my transfer date which made my HHG shipment a serious pain in the ass. I hope you find out soon though.
I was selected from the November 2010...yes 2010 boards. I think I may have been waiting in FS limbo the longest!
