Just curious, how many selectees this cycle we’re prior drilling reservists? Specifically those already holding clearances?

I already have mine, adjudicated like two years back, and I’m wondering if this clearance screening process is something everyone has to go through? (Minus the NASIS part, which I did months back for a clearance I already have ?)

I guess what I’m getting at is that I haven’t signed an RRA yet or screened any calls from anyone from OPM about my clearance, so am I or my OR behind on anything? Or do I just fall into a different pot of Pro-Rec: Ys because I’m a current SELRES member?

No, everyone goes through the same process of completing an RRA. For you, however you also need to have an approved DD368 come back.

I looked back through my records and found that I did in fact sign one months ago that went out with what I assume was my package this cycle.

The 368 was signed today by both myself and my OR and is being sent out to PERS this week.

How long is the t/a usually on those? Provided nothing is crazy out of place or incorrect?

How are we moving along selectees?!
Ive signed the Ready reserve agreement and gotten new fingerprints to start the security clearance process. One of the recruiters claimed that it should only take about 2 or 3 weeks to get the ball moving after the security process starts.

Signed my RRA over the weekend. Took a few extra days since I moved out of the NCR to AL so had to update a few items.

If I already hold a TS, do I need to submit fingerprints?

i only needed fingerprints because my package was a resubmit and I think they were too old for the current process.

Hello All,

Who puts the requirements in for NROWS to attend DCOIC? When I was an E5 it was the OSO of my cross assigned unit. Then I would finish it and route through the COC. I'm assuming it's either the NOSC or OTC Newport. The OTC website makes it seem like I can build the orders, which hasn't been an option for 6 years. Unless I'm missing something?

For short - I don't know. I think.... your units training officer will write the orders for you, then it flows through your NOSC. You also can probably sign up for the open quotas on CANTRAC and/or NROWS at your NOSC when you do INDOC.

Pretty much this. Anyone on the right hand side of the page on NROWS can create the requirement. You will create the orders from the approved requirement and it will get routed up the chain. But it will depend on how your unit does it.

That’s the problem I’m stuck in my E5 unit still in NROWS. The NOSC put me in IAP status in NSIPS, which is supposed to populate and talk to NROWS. I called the NROWS folks and they can’t figure out why it’s not switched. I can’t route orders because they will go through my old E5 unit. I was told it’s easier coming off the street than already being a prior enlisted. It’s been a nightmare getting everything updated to O1. NROWS is my last hurdle but nobody knows how to update the routing CO block on the right... DCOIC is in mid April so I have some time but it’s getting old I’m on 3 months of trying to switch all my E5 stuff over.

They couldn’t find me a unit so they stuck me back at the OSU NOSC I was already in when I was an E5. Yes I know not ideal but that’s another discussion topic. My focus is trying to get NROWS updated and I’m assuming I should ask the NOSC since I’m IAP now with no unit to create order requirements for me? What is a FINSEL? I already signed up myself and got a quota that wasn’t too difficult thankfully.

I was dropped from DCOIC because they still had me as an E4 USMC from 2003. I will look through to see how I ended up getting it changed. See if you can log into eNTRS and update your rank in there. I know I had to change it there too and now sure if that is where it flowed down from.

Got FINSEL letter today. Did my Oath bit a few moments ago. So far, so good.
