Not entirely confident about that; in prior boards, selectees have had much higher OAR scores and education beyond a bachelors degree. I do want people to learn from my experience, though; I think what had a negative impact on my package was the lack of letters of recommendation and extracurricular activities in college. I worked full-time throughout college doing HVAC in a family business, and from my experience with talking to other prospective employers, it is commonly looked down upon to do that to the point where you will not be taken seriously. Beyond what I just wrote, I'm not going to speculate too much. Glad that I gave it a shot and hope people on here have better luck. I'll be checking out. Best wishes)
How many LOR's did you have?
Did you have any leadership positions?

SWO was my first pick, followed by Intel. I'm a non-prior. I did not tailor my motivational statement to SWO given that I had applied to multiple designators. I had also already submitted my package before I learned that the board was looking for SWO-centric statements.
I agree with Sculpin, with a GPA that high, good OAR and Russian experience Intel seems a perfect fit for you.

I've read in some places that Intel doesn't care if you know foreign languages.

Pretty sure you are right, but it can't hurt. It really seems SWO wants people that are ONLY interested in them and if you put other options or didn't tailor everything to them they get a bit grumpy. I think with his stats he has a very good chance at Intel. Just decide which you would rather be man, a Surface Warfare or an Intelligence Officer and go full bore. Better luck next time for everyone that got an N or good luck with the next upcoming boards to which yinz applied!

As far as intel goes from my LT friends that are intel officers, are you a master of powerpoints and saying "We assess"? I think that's what they look for in the Intel Personal Statements. jk

On a serious note - I will get the stats for you all if you'd like of the numbers. Please don't quit for those that didn't make it. Please look at the package. Think about your statements and how they portray you. I believe your statements are far more important than people lead on.

It can be done! Work hard - prove yourself to the Navy that your low-GPA does not reflect your resolve.

So happy!!!!

See you all in the future!!!

BTW - I am not able to update the tracker to where I am, but feel free to message me.

I got you covered! Now you have.

I was, I just disagreed, and evidently so did the board.

What an exciting ride!

I am very surprised, but congratulations, you are a incredibly lucky person.

Yea it's crazy! That ROTC SWO Officer I spoke with must have been spot on, If you are Prior/AD Navy and write a good SWO centric motivational statement, you have a good shot!

*Congrats to Vincent and Anthony, BZ guys!

congratulations, you are a incredibly lucky person.

I have persevered past the road blocks put up during my immature youth. I don't think luck is a factor in this board when you look at my outstanding naval record and proof of incredible leadership. Claiming luck diminishes how far I've come and gives hope to those who may try without putting in the work.

Nevertheless, thank you!

*Congrats to Vincent and Anthony, BZ guys!

Thank you!!

Is it on mpte?

A little late to the party here. I submitted my package at the end of March, but I've only been on here since the end of April.

OAR:52; 5/5/5
B.S Law Enforcement and Justice Administration; Western Illinois University

LORs from a Police Chief and Detective of the department I interned for, a contract pilot, and two veterans. One Army, one Air Force.

SWO is my main designator and I geared my statement towards that. I graduated with a 3.4 GPA but I have transcripts from two other schools that pulled me down to a 2.8. I also put down for SNA and NFO.

Congrats to those who have heard and good luck to those who are waiting like me!
