Or just post it here so everyone can use it?
This isn't like some word document i typed up, its a bunch of power points, word documents, website links, and a link to my google drive. I'm not even sure how to link a bunch of stuff like that on a thread, plus its much easier to communicate/ask questions via email. It's not hard to reach out with your email address, is it?

I just figured since you're going to have to send everything to numerous people anyway why not just link it all once. There is a button that says "Attach files".

I am 21 years old and a junior in college. My GPA is currently hovering around a 3.5 and just took the ASTB for the first time two weeks ago. I got a 49 5/6/6. I am also new to air warriors so I am not sure if I am doing this right. Any help is appreciated!

I have taken the OAR two times now and have failed both times. After putting in hours and hours of studying I'm not sure what else to do. I used the study guides on here and got a tutor. I've never been a good test taker, and this is just proving this even more. I'm at the point of just calling it quits. Maybe I should just go enlisted. It's very discouraging for me. I only scored 4 more points higher than the last time. Should I try for a third or just go in enlisted?

If you give up now you got 0 % of getting as an officer. Try to study more maybe with different methods or do group study.

If you have arrived at the point of looking at becoming an officer then you had to have taken test in college in order to obtain your degree, what did you do then to get over the issue of taking test?

I've been out of college since 2014, but I tried the method I used in college this second time, my test scores in college weren't great either, homework and class assignments helped me keep my grades up.

I don't want to risk the chance of not being able to take it again, if I go in enlisted and eventually get the chance to take the test going that route.

How many degrees are in an angle that is 20 degrees less than 4 times it's supplement?
I noticed this when I was scrolling through looking for info about books to help study for the OAR portion and both replies are wrong. Here's how I figured it out:

First, Two givens:
1. A + B = 180 (supplementary angles)
2. B + 20 = 4A (20 degrees less than 4 times the other angle)

Then...
B + 20 = 4A [Solve for B using 2]
3. B = 4A - 20
A + 4A - 20 = 180 [substitute 3 into 1, solve for A]
A = 40
40 + B = 180 [Substitute A into 2 and solve for B]
B = 140.

140 degrees is 20 less than 160, which is 4 times the supplementary angle (40). You don't have to solve for both, but going the other way is 'harder' for me by hand/brain.

Age: 22
GPA: 3.0 ( i am still in school for another two semesters)
ASTB: 43 4/6/4
Degree: Computer Science
Applying for :SNA

Should i still submit my application? My OR showed me the calculator and i was close to the yellow zone. I'm not sure if i will do better the next time if i do it will be just slight as i was never a good test taker. I took the AFOQT before this and studied for months for the ASTB but i still ended up low.

I'm waiting for my PRK timeline to be complete so i will be applying by the end of this year or start of next year. Should i apply then retake or retake and hope for the best? I'm only afraid that i will do worse then i won't be able to apply at all.

I have a few flight hours as well.
I just took the ASTB two weeks ago and got similar scores. I certainly need improvement on the math portion of the OAR. how are you studying for it?

Just took the ASTB this morning, scored a 50 on the OAR. I'll be getting the rest of my results on Monday. didn't really put much time into studying except for the Aviation/Nautical stuff but studying for the math mechanical portions more definitely would have helped.

Math: The math portion was basically all fractions, averages, and time/distance stuff. No geometry, probability, or percentages. I don't know how I did on this portion, I really wasn't prepared.

Reading: Super easy, skim through the answers and see what matches the text, have a basic understanding of what the passage is trying to say. Use deductive reasoning

Mechanical: Lots of questions about leverage and weight distribution. Didn't get any questions for gears, mechanical advantage, or electricity. There was one question for the Bernoulli effect which I got incorrect because I accidentally clicked on the wrong answer :(

Aviation/Nautical: There were some questions on here that I had never seen on the gouges. One asked about what kind of ship wasn't a "boat/ship", kinda confused me. The rest consisted of airplane functions and many questions about boats. Only one or two questions relating to Naval history.

UAV: This one is extremely easy if you know how to use a compass. I drew out a little compass and just rotated it whichever way I needed to. Got em all down pretty fast.

Stick/Throttle: This portion was fun...

Dichotic listening was pretty easy. If you wanna practice for this, put some headphones on and watch this video:
then open a word doc on your computer and type the letter A with your left hand when you hear a word with an M and type the letter L with your right hand when you hear a word with a P.

If you've played flying video games or simulators before, the targeting exercise shouldn't be too bad. Unfortunately I spent half of the first exercise figuring out the sensitivity. Just focus on getting used to the stick sensitivity during the practice portion.

Something that helped me for the simultaneous targeting exercise was sitting back to get a better overall view, relaxing the muscles (I found that I started to tense up if I started to get off target) and using peripherals for the throttle portion.

For the emergency procedures, I just wrote them down beforehand and stuck em right below the screen so I didn't have to take my eyes off the screen.
I took the ASTB two weeks ago and got a 49. I am sure the math was what got me. I am planning on taking it again but need feel more confident with the math portion. How are you studying for this test? Thanks!

I’m a 25 year old female. I have 5 years of prior enlisted service and I’m a junior in college going for a major in physics and a minor in mathematics. I currently have a 3.7 GPA.
I have taken the ASTB once and I got a 63 7/7/8. I am trying to apply for SNA. Thanks to everyone who posted the ASTB study material. I studied a lot for the mechanical and reading portion and I felt really good on those sections, but being a physics major and doing math as a minor I thought I’d breeze through the math section. I think I did pretty good on the math section but I probably should’ve studied a little more and I might gotten a better OAR score. The nautical and aviation portions were easy and pretty upfront.
For the PFAR AND FOFAR sections I literally felt like I was doing terrible the entire time, but I think as long as you pay attention to the instructions given at the beginning of the test and also really focus on getting used to the throttle and the thruster during the practice sessions, you’ll be fine.
Anyways, the only score I’d like to improve would be my OAR, I feel like I could’ve done so much better with some extra bit of studying.
Any thoughts on whether I should retake the ASTB or not would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say no. You're scores are good and your GPA is really good. If you look at the February board, there are people well below your stats that got picked up. I'd assume you're applying for the May board.
