    Good Use for Jepps

I'll let you figure out the objects in the picture... This airline pilot solved the problem with heating food in a hotel room with no microwave.

The Great, Constantly Changing Picture Gallery

Because the nfo's would come over to their ready room afterwards looking for the guy that caused them to have an unpleasant ride.

The Great, Constantly Changing Picture Gallery

I was told that an easy way to tick off an E-2 NFO was to join up on them for the overhead. When the NFO sees a pointy nose through their peep hole, he knows that the pilot will try his best to improve his SHB skills...

    The Mission - Attack

I was going through old pictures and came across this one. The older attack guys will probably understand this the most. This is on the weps room wall in vt-9. If you cant read line 6 due to the flash, it says attack-5 fighters-0

    Slowing down orders to Oceana?

And the class before that "Oceana class" all got Lemoore/Miramar (aka my class). Its a very lovely cycle. If you are from 9, let me know who you are and who else is coming out here(pm me). I'll be seeing you around -125.
  12. M

    Slowing down orders to Oceana?

There are numerous Navy studs flying with -101 at Miramar. SERGRAD's get selected after they get winged and then spend a year with the squadron as an IP. It counts toward their commitment and they usually get their choice of coast/platform afterwards.

I 'heard' that there will be a T-45 form flyby to kick off the show. I'm sure they will have an ejection-seat-safe bird to hop into.

The Monster COD thread (homage to the C-2A Greyhound)

One of my friends picked up the callsign greyhound because he 'had' to ride the bus from key west to meridian. Its a pretty funny story but I'll let him tell it if he is up for it.

I was also on the TR for CQ last week. As ex rigger said, being out on the boat was the most amazing expierence of my life! Nothing can compare to that first trap and cat shot! My HUD tape is rated 'R' for all the crazy a$$ words I said. I cant wait to be done with acm and (hopefully) earn...

    T-45 vs Bird HUD Video

The checklist says if below 180 kts and 1500 feet you shall eject. If you are above 180kts but still below 1500 feet, you have options (which was the window these guys were in). You have the option to climb and try an airstart or do some fancy manv and turn back to land. After knowing what...

    Where to live in Meridian?

Call the base housing office. They can send you a long list of places for rent/sale. I recommend you find some buddies and rent a house. You can bank a lot of money.

    T-45 vs Bird HUD Video

They grabbed the long field gear around 60kts which was 1250 feet from the end.

    T-45 vs Bird HUD Video

First of all, this is not a video from any recent mishaps. This bird got chewed up late last year on an early Fam hop in good ole MS. The bird went down the intake after climbing past 1200' and somehow through their amazing skills and teamwork were able to bring the jet back. They landed...

There is also a private (kind of) lake that alot of students live on. It's a little out of the way from everything that Meridian has to offer. During the summer months, the lake is where the biggest population of studs would be (thats after pcola, bhm, jackson, etc of course...).

You should class up pretty quickly. You might wait 2-3 weeks at the most. Call the housing office at the base and they can send you a whole list of houses for sale/rent. Thats what I did so I dont know too much about apartments in the area (there are a bunch though).

    Navy/Air Force Aero Club's

It's a shame to hear that the Norfolk flying club went under. I had a lot of good times flying their t-34's with my dad back in the 90's. We flew out of langley too. I'll be sure to join the langley club if I go to Oceana.

    BINGO profile...

Back-in-the day during all that wonderful jet instrument training crap, we had to shoot min fuel and emergency fuel GCA's. A min fuel GCA meant you kept the jet clean till 30 sec prior to glideslope intercept. You got no special treatment and flew a normal box pattern. The jet wasn't wasting...

When I was in vt-2 (sept06-march07), anybody with a private + instrument rating went on the accel program. I had my CFII so they put me on it (big surprise). I skipped the majority of BI events, one fam hop, and about half of the RI sims. If you had a bad hop, they took you off the program...
