Thanks E6, you have to forgive me I am currently a Nuke Enlisted and always try to understand everything to the extreme. A couple of Carrier XO's that were at my training command said I will have to learn to be a true operator and sometimes not care how stuff works. Should be fun.

I hear next to no talk about E-6's. Does anybody have any insight on that community?????? Where they are stationed?? What that job is like??? How many NFO's from each class go E-6. I know about carrier aircraft from serving on one and I have some friends who know P-3 people, but nothing on the E-6.

I believe it can. My dad had a friend in the same situation back in the 70's. He hung from a chin up bar and passed the height test at the recruiters station. The bad news is the bumpy 3.5 hour train ride to the MEPS station made him too short again.

Any recent numbers on NFO's? What percentage is being sent to IFS? How long from OCS to IFT to PRIMARY etc? I go to OCS in June. A co-worker of mine has a brother who graduated OCS a few monthes back and is still on hold waiting to start primary.

Awesome, I just recently started flying an electric RC corsair by GWS. By far my favorite plane yet. I now need a digital Video camera so I can capture inverted flybyes a foot off the deck. I know I will crash a lot more with a video camera there to capture my ummm skills.

Yeah crapola, I am an E-6 with 9 years in and keep looking at 0-3E base pay $4800 a month compared to the $2400 I now get. In four years after gratuating OCS my pay will almost double(BAH doesn't double).

I haven't been yet, but know tons of people who have. The every day uniform I believe is Khakis. There are also inspections in whites(choker like Top Gun graduation) and less formal whites.
