I bought a sig 229 9mm which was an old Fed gun. I shot the crap out of that thing and it never failed. A little bluing was rubbed off, but it was top notch internally. Added some tritium night sights, hogue grips and it was perfect.
I was a cop for four years, although this was not my sidearm...
I havent heard yet either, but it depends on what you are applying for. Some jobs havent met yet. So far the only ones that have said they were accepted were all flying spots.
So, when a person selected for multiple fields, how does those slots that dont get selected get handled? You are selecting NFO, so what happens the the supply and SWO slots? Do they go back into the "needed" column, and if so, when?
I was stationed with the Gal at Lakenheath. She was an F-15 pilot before the thunderbirds. It was funny because the whole crew did my re-enlistment at McConnell AFB and she recognized me from the heath.
I didnt go last year, maybe this year. I want to see the F-22 again.
Went to one at McConnell a couple years ago, got some great shots of the thunderbirds.
I'm in the same boat, I my package was supposed to meet the Oct boards, but come to find out that it didnt make the supply board, now i have to wait to see if it met with the AMDO and Intel boards.
I am enlisted Air Force applying for the Oct board. (still waiting to find out). LOR's definately help if O-6 or higher. Usually, with most commissioning boards across the branches, if you are enlisted you should have an endorsement by your commanders commander. (if that makes sense) the terms...
I had a benchmade auto and loved every minute of it. Lost it in afghanistan in 2004 and havent been able to afford a new one.
I had a speed assist kershaw as well, had it a couple weeks and the blade broke. (3/4" from the tip)
I am applying for the October board. Long awaited.

A lot of Air Force bases have civies working the gates too, and I saw one salute the other day. I asked why he saluted and he told me that it was in their company's contract with the Air Force that they had to salute.
I have a question about how the slots get allotted. If someone is applying but still in college, and get selected. They cannot attend OCS until they have graduated. Are they selected in the same "pool" as those who have already graduated and are ready to go at any time? I am guessing that the...
I agree, the air force went into the predator program ill equipped and not ready. I dont think however, they were expecting such huge success and the increased demand from the program so soon. I heard they are trying to make it an actual career field, and not have pilots do double duty, but you...
There are pilots on the ground in the AOR, to get the drones off the runway, the pilots at Nellis dont take over until it reaches about 1000 feet. It is sometimes difficult to make the transition from nellis back to the pilot in the AOR in the communications area.
These pilots also are being...
Here is mine, let me know what you think. Any comments are welcome. I am putting in for the Oct board.
Since I can remember it has been my desire to serve and protect. Preparing for a career in law enforcement I pursued my college degree, but after 9/11, I decided to follow in the footsteps...
There is a section on the package where you can add educational awards etc right??
Thats where i added mine. I wasnt sure if i should do one block for each semester, or put all the semesters combined in one block
Having a clearance just means that your background has been investigated and is clear. Not really an opsec concern as it is required on any state or government application. Even civilians working in a gov. position require one too. Maybe not TS but a clearance nontheless.
Me too
I am in the same boat, I am applying for AMDO and have to take the entire test. I would like additional material on the mechanical and reading portions of the test. I have the ARCO book, but not much help..
