I agree that quotes look much better in the beginning of the statement, as long as you tie it in correctly. I've actually used them in the beginning of every major paper or statement I've written since high school and they've usually gone over very well.

I got my secret clearance a year ago from the DoD, courtesy of the USMC (although I never actually went to OCS). I was told that I'd have to fill out another sf86 regardless. I'm assuming they won't have to do another investigation though.

I was just told today by my OR that there are July boards for SNA. I'm a little worried because the NORS Commander in the same office had told me days before that June's were the last until this fall. Wow.

I was just told that, like others have said, boards are still selecting SNAs but the backlog is causing wait times of up to 6-7 months to even attend OCS. Guys selected in November haven't even shipped yet.
