Depends on what you choose (BMD ship,AMPHIP, etc.). For the most part, figure 1-2 months (total, not combined) for training + other tasks, plus a 7 month deployment. In between figure a yard period for 4 months or so then a training cycle which will include the 1-2 months mentioned. Work days...

When I went through, the Black Ninja was forced to give us Power-aide after many of his 'students' were getting cramped up due to low sodium intake. He hated having to do that.

No body gained that I know of. For all the pre-OCS guys, the guys getting yelled at in the green suits is what you have to look forward to for the first week or two...

Time to bring this back since I am now moving to SD. We are looking at the east Chula Vista area since the housing is new and affordable. Not to concerned with being near bars and what not. Does anybody live in that area and can refer me to a realtor, and give some general advice on the area?

We didn't wear or bother with our contacts until our candio phase. If you have decent enough eyes, you may be able to get away from wearing the BCG's everyday if you care about how you look. However, if you really care how you look during indoc you have vanity issues. Bring your normal frames...
