Possible hernia?

I have to get more tests done this week, but I should know by Friday. Doc called to tell me he's pretty sure it's just a strange response to an infection.

If it was a hernia, they would be able to tell immediately. The fact that you are still going through tests tells me you don't have one. I hope the best that whatever you have leads to minimal treatment and quick recovery.

I appreciate being told to go check it out. I was right at the median age for Hodgkin's lymphoma (since I had mononucleosis 3 years ago - apparently it makes it more likely), but the doctor got back with me today and ruled it out I had nonsymptomatic flu of some kind that made everything swell up

Don't self-diagnose, go see a doc and if it is anything you have to report then tell the recruiter.
