I go with the dip, similar to this:
And I can't stand the way a small cover looks on the "top" of the head. The above pic is a good cover size and shape in my opinion.

yeah, i think i'll wait till I've "earned" the dip...
Just a quick question: Do Marines do the dip, or is that just a Navy/Air Force thing? Never seen a Marine doing it, just wondering.

What exactly do you have to do to "earn" the dip? Some sort of NATOPS qual?
oh boy, not this again...
Also, I don't believe the Air Force "dips" either. I think it's strictly a Navy thing. But I might be wrong.

I dont see too many guys dip. I'm not a huge fan.
Defininitely is an Air Force thing but might only be so for the fighter guys now. Used to be everybody in the AF did it, at least when my dad was in.
I've never seen a lack of folks with the dip. No one says you have to. If you like it, go for it, if not, wear your cover like you want to.

That's because you fly that four engined monstrosity. It's the norm in TACAIR and you'll be justly mocked for not sporting it.

I'd like to see the other API classes beat that! I do remember seeing an old api class pic with dudes wearing nothing but their leather and helmet over there privates in front of the O-club.
Man, I know one of the guys in that pic...I think he got commissioned about a YEAR ago. Is it still normal to wait that long from commissioning to API?
