NAS Pensacola supply who refuses to issue you the right size, because that's the last one she's got and "you'll be fatter when you're a Lieutenant [?!]." It's a disgrace to Naval Aviation.

That lady was still there, and my jacket is definitely a size or two too big. Needless to say several of us are investing in a jacket buy... hands need somewhere to go.

Well, give me some credit here. I didn't get fatter until I was a hinge. :D

As of March '18 she was still there. But now she's got a sidekick who's a great little understudy and repeatedly explained that, "I can talk to officers this way because I was an officers dependent" in between his brazenly rude comments and behavior.

+1 for pockets.

Harrumph...harrumph...Assuming that naval regulations still apply, even to millennial's, and in that Chapter One, Article 1101.3 of the US Navy Uniform Regulations still state - "While in uniform, it is inappropriate and detracts from military smartness for personnel to have their hands in their pockets." Why are young officers looking for jackets that might place them harm's way?

This public service message was brought to you by - Getting old and curmudgeonly.

That is all.

??‍♂️ Of course I would NEVER use such pockets. Especially on cold winter days...ever. They’re obviously just there for the novelty.

Whatever...I loved putting my hands in pockets in uniform. Some of it was because it was good sport to spin up people like @Griz882 . I also enjoyed walking around uncovered in the hangar bay in port, wearing red wing boots, wearing my flight suit zipper past my nametag, walking around with my jacket unzipped, wearing sunglasses with crokies on top of my head, having an uncovered coffee cup, and taking food off of the mess decks. None of that stuff would be anywhere near as much fun to do if it didn't get the squares up in arms. The other reason I put my hands in my pockets was probably because they were cold and why the hell else have pockets?

I can't tell if you were trying to be Tom Cruise or Leon Trotsky. Maybe a hybrid of both?
