High Blood Pressure

Never heard it before. Asked around and no other aviators I know heard of it. Is it supposed to be offensive? Because whatever the opposite of offended is, is how I feel.

just a general term sailors in engineering spaces would use on the carriers, never thought of it as offensive, just a term like snipes, coners, topsiders, etc.... just slang.

Well I guess all I can do is hope they allow me to wear a 24 hour cuff at OCS haha. I am consistently 115/60 at home or at a free BP machine. At the clinic I am consistently 140/80 because I'm stressed about a high reading and nervous because my career is at stake. I'll be sure to let the flight surgeon know and hope he lets me take a breather to get it down. Thanks everyone!
Be careful, we had a guy in my OCS class who went into medical one day for a head cold and when they took his blood pressure it was high (don't remember what it was exactly) and they rolled him from our class. He was passing every physical evolution just fine so it really sucked for him.

I’ll do everything I can to keep it down for sure. Did he end up making it after he rolled?

It's pretty common in the SWO world. Whether it is derogatory or not is dependent upon the person using it and/or the context. I use it to refer to aviation types in general and that's how I've most often heard it used. It's just like we call engineers "snipes," construction battalion bubbas "Seabees," submariners "bubbleheads," etc.
