But Russell Casse was in the Air Force!
I see what it says, but looks like a Navy F-4 to me! Besides, he took that ship down with an F-18!

Not aviation, but I really wish the industry would take another crack at Patrick O’Brian. I liked Master and Commander, but I think I was the only one.

A series or miniseries of at least the first book, with young Aubrey and Maturin sailing together for the first time on HMS Sophie, could be pretty good. You could get Liam Hemsworth and Remi Malek for it.

Did you watch the Horatio Hornblower miniseries years ago? Think it was a PBS/BBC type thing, and I remember it being good enough but left with the same feeling, that man that was a crazy ass period to be a sailor and it lends itself well to film. Reading a recent take on Trafalgar and it never ceases to amaze me. Fleets of relatively small ships chasing each other across the Atlantic on a rumor and a hunch.

Another period that brings to mind would be Korea. I read David Hackworth’s autobiography, and while everyone associates him and it with his service in Vietnam, the Korean conflict seems like it doesn’t get enough attention.
