It seems somewhat odd to think of the UH-1 as a classic warbird but I guess as a bird made in '69 it's as old today as the WWII aircraft were at my first air show.

The new chapter in AZ is working very closely with the CAF, Airbase AZ. The plan is to complement each other. The CAF mission is WW II, 1939-1945. AAHF is Army, Vietnam to contemporary. As you pointed out. The Vietnam era aircraft are at the same vintage as when CAF hit it's stride collecting WW II birds.

Hell, there's organizations that have SPADs, Huns, 106's, Scooters and Phantoms flying, I love it. It's a hell of of lot more expensive that taking a Mustang around the circuit. God bless them for doing it.

who is flying -106's? I'd love to see that…..there were some flying with various guard units when I was a kid, but I don't remember seeing one.
