Ahh nice. My OR is in Menifee. We should find out by this week. My recruiter said by Sept. 20th. The list with everyone's names though said that paperwork must be turned in before the 20th. So yeah, soon!

Let me know what date you get as well.

FYI, "waiting for signature" is a status, when all the required info is rec'd a person is moved to that status, then there are several variables that determine how long a person could sit in that status, I have seen days to many months in the status, the NRD does not play a role in this, NRC does not process one NRD's over another or in any order it is just as they get to them.

The date they put to have all documents to NRC is to help figure out numbers for the next board and plan OCS classes, for example if there are 10 spots each for SNA/SNFO/SWO and you have 10 people all pro Y for SNA/SNFO/SWO, if they don't figure out who is taking what then the numbers will be off on the next board because they won't know how many of those 10 are going to each designator.

Still waiting here as well. Trying not to worry about it, it's coming eventually. Nothing we can do at this point really, get used to waiting, I'm told we'll be doing that a lot during our careers.

All day, every day!
I second SaltyDawg85.

I recommend learning patience (if you don't have any already) and relaxing right now, especially enjoying the amount of free time you have to do whatever you want in the meantime, balanced of course with work and whatever obligations you already have. Once you get your ship date and leave, you're going to miss that. You're going to miss a lot of things, I would imagine.

There's not a single benefit in worrying about your papers nor your ship date in the meantime. Just get ready physically, stay on top of the papers and stay sharp.

Good to hear I am not the only one awaiting medical still. I just put in leave for almost all of October to just relax a bit and get the homestead market ready.

How many others out there haven't even been looked at by medical?

Edit: found PQ by N3M
Still waiting, myself. Had to submit a letter from the VA stating that I'm not drawing any benefits a couple of weeks ago. My recruiter thinks that was the last step to getting my FS letter taken care of, but nothing since.

My recruiter told me my date would be in October or November when I recieved my pro req. Still waiting to here but she still thinks November for me. Hopefully I find out this week too.

I know it sucks to be in the dark while waiting for FS letters. The funny thing is that usually if there is some kind of disqualifier (medical, background check, etc) to pop up in the process, they are very quick to inform you! Sometimes no news is good news...

Well, even though I have yet to be pinged for an ortho consult, I went today and got an up to date evaluation. Seemed that he had no concern as long as I wasn't trying to be a SEAL lol...(I have bilateral spondylolysis at L4 and L5 for those who like to research a bit) Hopefully his write up and notes will reflect a positive prognosis when I get them and BUMED will see it in a favorable light.
