The Brits did the dry stoarge route for HMS VICTORY. They built a dry dock, then sealed it up after she was in position.

Js did it with Mikasa as well. She's floating in a concrete pond outside of Yoko.

Except one ws built as a building and the other was a Ruskie smashing ship that established Japan on the world stage...and launched a thousand JPME papers (lumpy, glaring in your direction).
