I must say kind of sounds shady to me as well....
Actually this is not uncommon, I have had people going to school overseas that come back to take the test and do the application, people who work with engineering firms that have gone to do work overseas for their company, ones that were doing humanitarian work with a church, one who was visiting his parents who were stationed overseas, another visiting parents who were GS employees working overseas, etc....

If it was my future, I'd find a way to get back for the few days necessary to finish my paperwork, especially with it getting harder and harder to obtain a slot. But that's just me.

PQ, thats a relief, fleet processor said my date was yet to be decided but to expect May-July. Hopefully we all start to get letters in the next month.

Pro-Rec SNA - OCS Class Date 27 May 2012
In terms of Non-priors, word I got was that they are just dealing with a ton of people, and so it will probably be another 2-4 weeks until we hear anything. They probably had something like over 300 people all at the same time.

It was actually around 100, most of the people that put in for Pilot also put in for NFO and looking at the list there are several that put in for Supply as well as Pilot and NFO. The problem is the new program that we use, it is a mess.

NavyOffRec...I have a question about boards and being pro-rec'd. Let's assume that a board is reviewing packages for three designators and there are packages with two of the three designators listed as being desired by the applicant. If a package is pro-rec'd for one designator, is it possible for the same package to be pro-rec'd for another designator at the board, or is it taken out of contention for others as soon as it is pro-rec'd for one? I've always wondered how that would work.

On this page alone don't you see all the members with SNA and SNFO pro rec'd statuses? As far as I understood, there is a separate board for each designator that meets simultaneously and independently.

How it was explained to me was that you could get pro-rec'd for both, but the one you listed as #1 or #2 would take precedence over a latter numbered designator listed.

It is possible for a person to fill all 5 spots and get selected for all 5 and unless a person writes a letter saying they want 2, 3, 4, or 5. they will be processed for number 1, and if for instance a person was found not PQ for number one but still qualified for one of the others they could be processed for that.

We are all waiting on that. I think that one general thought working its way around was that the latest batch of pro-recs could be getting dates from may-july.

Won't know for sure until I get that Final Select letter.
