By the looks of it, you got your Top Gun starter-kit in order so you'll fit in just fine at Riddle.

I went through primary with 2 guys that were NROTC Embry-Riddle and they liked it. They both commissioned with about 350 hours and multi-engine instrument ratings. They both rocked primary and got tailhook.

Graduated erau in fall '06. In primary now, and have no problem. The education you receive through primary helps alot, but hear it all levels out after primary no matter what the background...

They are all gay and all go tailhook....just ask HighDimension, he is like their mini-boss (with a Marine prowler IP here in meridian as the acting Don). Oh wait, don't ask ottowrote8 :p

Seriously though, it's a good school, perhaps a little bit devoid of some of the female prospects present at most schools. For a while they were not letting senior mids do aviation cruises, though I have heard this may have changed in recent years. I looked at going to Prescott (not Daytona mind you) for a while, but decided to do engineering at my state school instead. Their part 142 program is a good one, and for the most part their grads seem to do well in flight school from what I have seen. Just don't ask the "will prior civilian flight experience help me" question.....that has been answered many times here and is what the search function is for. Hope that helps!

It is what you make of it man. Like others have said, low on female prospects but a great school. As far as the NROTC unit, Im sure a lot has changed since I commissioned ('07) but overall it was a good unit. You'll do one fundraiser for the entire school year by working at the speedway during speedweeks - which is a good freakin time no matter where you are from because it's not the race you're watching it's the _____________ (noun of choice).

Do a search you'll find more.
