Woman + Subs

Once they answer the room/head issue for women on subs,

It's been answered... at Al-Asad.

Some of the head cans are unisex. There are a few stalls, one or two of which are labeled "female only", the same with the showers, which have a non-transparent door in front. The urinals are behind another wall, not visible in the "main floor area" of the can.

There's a working solution to the head issue right there.

Even easier? Do what we did in Iraq (when our female officers/enlisted occupied two rooms, and men occupied another). Hang a placard on the door labeled "female" on one side and "male" on the other side. Put a pocket to place the placard in. When it's unoccupied - it's in the pocket. Occupied? Placard is removed from the pocket and hung up with appropriate gender displayed. Problem solved.

That's pretty much exactly what we did on the boat (cruiser type) when we got our first female officers aboard. Seriously. Not a big deal.

There we go. Head problem solved. Now what about berthing? I'm sure we can solve that one in three or four posts. Then on to world hunger, cancer and how we can get Otto laid.

According to Otto, he gets laid all the time. Then again, according to my 6-year-old, Santa Claus rides a kangaroo when he delivers toys to Australia.

He doesn't ride a kangaroo, he rides in a kangaroo's pouch... big difference. Sheesh!

Six white boomers to be exact.

Google it if you really want to know.

This is something I am willing to implement society-wide, or something like two female stalls for every male one in high-traffic, public set-ups.

No way.

Military bases aside, when's the last time you saw a line at a men's room? Exactly: never.

When's the last time you saw a line at a women's room? Probably the last time you walked by one.:icon_wink

All that overflow induced by their genetic inability to use the head by themselves will come to the unisex head. No thanks.

Where I saw it utilized in Japan, it seemed to work pretty well.

And you don't lose a stall, they just gain one, and only if they are willing to pee by themselves!

But seriously, I've often wondered if anyone had bothered to design a women's room with larger capacity than it's co-located men's room. Cuz it would make sense to me.
