You missing one? There was one on the transient line at NTU this morning with a G on the tail. Does that mean the Mids are about to descend upon us?

Had to duck into Pax today and saw a crowd coming out of the water survival building. Won't be long until the BOQ's are full.....

It is that time of year. I can't imagine them using a T-44 though since there's much better alternatives close by. Probably a cross country to Va Beach. I'm still in ground school so it'll be awhile before I start "seeing the country."

I believe a few are supposed to start showing up out here, too. Hope one doesn't have to use my gear.

I just asked and there were Navy and Marine Instructors with a couple of contract maintenance types surveying ramp and hangar space locations in advance of the onslaught of bright-eyed Mids.

Strange. Corpus usually covers the West coast. And the Whiting guys have the logistics train pretty well oiled for Oceana (as you've seen).

Looks like I know what I'll be doing in a couple months. Ferrying some mids back and forth...

Maybe you can earn these for your ferrying efforts:

Here is a great shot of my all-time favorite! On a different note, when did the A6 start getting white radomes, and why was it changed? weren't they all black at first?

We had a mixed bag -- some "off white" (started off as white and then usually became quite dirty and WX faded) and some two-tone, i.e., grey on top and white on the bottom ... quasi-camo. The only "black" I remember seeing was an A-6B.

A-6 Intruder: An all-around GREAT airplane .... :)

Just curious, A4s, did anyone ever experience a failure of the speed brakes on just one side? That could have been interesting...

Never heard of split S/B's -- or split flaps on the A-6 -- just heard of a few guys who forgot to put them out. :)

And I know a couple of guys who shut down engines tryin' to put the s/b's out.
