Speedy Tuesday with my 1971 145.022 on a modern Omega polyamide NATO. Went shooting with some pilot buddies so I busted out my old S&W 5946 9mm which I purchased from the Cincinnati Police Department when I resigned in 2006…

Did you use the reloads I gave you?
Yeppers! That is sort of an interesting story…so we were shooting plates yesterday and I was using the reloads that you gave me. My 5946 malfunctioned very early on…slide was out of battery. I couldn’t clear it…slide would not budge. Luckily, one of the pilots is a Recon Marine and he was able to clear it after several minutes. Happened several times [out of battery] with my 5946 and the reloads…then he tries the reloads in his 9mm firearm [not sure what make/model] and it malfunctions…same thing, out of battery.

Also, my shooting accuracy yesterday was not-so-hot with the reloads. The Recon Marine initially thought the sights were off with my 5946…but after doing some checking/cross referencing with factory rounds in my 5946, determined that the sights were not off with my 5946. My shooting accuracy was significantly better with factory rounds that were given to me.

I think these were loaded soft for competition and tuned to a particular gun - hence the issues.
Dude…everybody was looking at me funny yesterday regarding my shooting…

“So you’re a former cop??? You were one of those admin cops, right???”
