No. No, you can't. You can't ask and they don't have to tell you. It's none of your business.
Negative. I can ask, and I quote from OPM, “Are there any duties, responsibilities, or obligations beyond health and family that may take you away from assigned work if you accept the position?”

Based on what? You don't know me. Never met me. Have no personal knowledge of my career. Never worked as a civilian and spent you're entire adult life in the military.

I have never posted anything remotely insulting on this site and you come out and call me a "dishonest piece of shit".
How about just dishonest? Does that shoe fit? I’ll let others draw their own conclusions on the second part.

I’m not interested in playing semantic games. Recommend rereading this thread If your memory needs a refresher.
I reread the thread. No where was I dishonest.

You didn't answer my question of if you go around calling people "pieces of shit" in real life.

Can you post a link?
Sure...OF-306 Question 8 - Have you EVER served in the United States Military?

Held against case law - Hardison v. Office of Personnel Management

Put simply, you can not lie on your application to federal employment. Under this case omitting a fact is, in effect, a lie.

I meant a link for "“Are there any duties, responsibilities, or obligations beyond health and family that may take you away from assigned work if you accept the position?”

Also question 8 states the following:
If you answered "YES," list the branch, dates, and type of discharge for all active duty.

You do not have to disclose your reserve status on the application. It is no one's business and I maintain that you do not have to disclose it to your perspective employers. USSSERA makes it very clear.

No, I asked OPM directly if that was an acceptable question and they said it was. But the simple fact is, the OF-306 is fixed and finite.

Wrong again. Tell you what, give it a try if you apply for another fed job and see how it works. Also, USERRA makes it quite clear that the employee is OBLIGATED to inform their employer in writing about reserve duties that interfer with an assigned work.

As I stated in my previous post, OF-306 asks for all periods of active duty. It does not ask for your reserve status and there is not anything anyone could do if you didn't disclose it.
